THE FRED MOTIVATION

“In a life of optimal existence, passion and occupation are inseparable in order to gain success”.

If we are able to create a workforce that manages to be motivated by the everyday tasks of their occupation and not simply by external reward and recognition, we have a workforce that constantly excels and exceeds expectations by simply doing what they are suppose to do.

The following program focuses on personal motivation and excellence as a key factor in dynamic business. The content framework is based on a book by Mark Sanborn, ‘The Fred Factor’.

The Fred Factor focuses on achieving personal motivation, using a motivated lifestyle to motivate others and the effect of personal motivation on both personal and business success. Success is labelled as, doing what you are meant to do well and enjoying it while you are doing it. If we manage to do this in our daily lives, we will have a sense of fulfilment and be able to strive for excellence in our daily jobs.

Personal motivation is addressed in 4 principles.

  1. The realization that everyone and every act makes a difference. Thus every action has an effect on me, my situation and others. This principle focus on how to create and produce actions, that optimizes every situation.
  2. Success is built on relationships, both internal and external. The quality of service and product is directly linked to the quality of relationship.
  3. Continually creating value for others and thus optimising those around you. Shift mindset from being employed, to being employable. Fighting mediocrity.

  1. Regularly reinventing yourself. Finding meaning and fulfilment in how you do your job, rather than focusing on the limitations of your occupation.

The final section of the program works through 4 practical steps to implement self motivation in our daily surroundings, both on a personal as well as on a group level.

The program is hosted in a practical, interactive style that not only teaches the principles, but allows participants to discover the reality of self motivation as well as the practical application thereof. The program alternates between a classroom session, where the theory of the principles are discussed and experiential learning session, where the principles are applied in practical experience and reinforced by these experiences.
